(Photo by Michael Reaves/Getty Images)Kyler Murray is no longer a quarterback for the Oklahoma Sooners, as the Heisman Trophy winner is heading to the NFL, but he’s still getting some serious support from OU’s head coach, Lincoln Riley.Riley took to Twitter this morning to call out a new report about his former quarterback heading into this week’s NFL Scouting Combine.“Any NFL team thinking of drafting Kyler Murray is going to want to spend time with his father/QB coach Kevin Murray, who told me Kyler is calling the shots on his own career … and reiterated he’s all-in on football,” NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero tweeted.Riley responded:“Couldn’t be further from the truth..in 3 yrs coaching him, not 1 conversation with Kevin about ANYTHING football-related..turned out decent- This kid gave up more than what people would ever believe for 1 reason- His love of this game Those doing their homework already know,” he tweeted.ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit isn’t surprised with any of the talk surrounding Murray, as the same thing happened with Baker Mayfield.“Let ‘the games’ begin Lincoln.
