first_imgGaruda Indonesia will service its Bali-Denpasar to Perth route with a new Airbus A330.The move makes the airline the first to operate a wide-bodied aircraft on this route and ensures 257 passengers will be able to fly, compared to 162 when the airline used a Boeing 737-800.Garuda Indonesia Australia vice president Pak Uun Setiawan said that the move continues to build on the airline’s Quantum Leap strategy.“The move to the Airbus A330 is another milestone for Garuda Indonesia as we continue to expand and enhance our fleet across the region in line with our ongoing ‘Quantum Leap’ strategy,” Mr Setiawan said.“Introducing this spacious fleet will allow us to better serve both the growing corporate and leisure markets out of Western Australia and provide our passengers a new level of comfort in the air.”Source = ETB News: Tom Nealelast_img
