The Cobblestone Tea Cottage on College Street was one of the locations. Owner Jim Earhart said the crew set up three tables behind the store logo. They paid him what the store would earn in a day; about $1,000. He said he makes about $700 to $800 a day. He still paid the employees. “It’s kind of interesting. I hope I see my logo on the TV series,” he said. He was told the crew would only be filming on Monday. “They said they will do more stuff in the season but was kind of hush-hush about it. I’d be happy if it became (like) the Sopranos,’ ” Earhart said, adding that he wants them to keep showing up in town. COVINA — Hollywood came calling Monday. A film crew was in downtown to shoot scenes for an NBC television show starring Luke Perry. “Windfall” is about 20 friends in the Midwest who chip in for the lottery and win, said Donna Gross, one of the location managers for Regency Television. She said they were only filming in town Monday, but may come back on location. Perry wasn’t in town though, she said. Gross said there’s no air date yet for the drama, which is a mid-season replacement. It could air this year or next year.last_img
