first_imgANIMAL welfare experts are looking after two dogs rescued in County Donegal this week that may have been underfed since birth.Animals in Need Donegal says a vet believes the dogs have been starved since they were puppies.“The vet thinks they have been starved since puppies as they are so small and that they are between 18 -24 months now,” said a spokesperson. The dogs – one male and one female – were found in deplorable conditions.Their coats are matted and torn.They each weigh just over 7 kilo grammes.After being cared for over the past 24 hours, the rescuers say both dogs have now tried to wag their tails.
