DONE DEAL! Swansea City announce first signing of the summer

first_img1 Erwin Mulder in action for Heerenveen Swansea City have made Dutch goalkeeper Erwin Mulder their first signing of the summer. The 28-year-old has joined the Premier League side on a free transfer, having turned down a new contract with Heerenveen.Mulder will compete for the number one position at the Liberty Stadium with Lukasz Fabianski and Kristoffer Nordfeldt.He has signed a three-year deal with the Swans and will link up with Paul Clement’s squad for the start of pre-season training on Monday.Mulder began his career at Feyenoord, where he made 120 appearances, had a season on loan at Excelsior in 2008-09, and joined Heerenveen in 2015.In all, he has played more than 250 senior games in his native Holland.“I am very happy to be here,” Mulder told the official Swansea website.“Now the opportunity has come and I have taken it with both hands.“The Premier League is the biggest league in the world.
